1Infrastructure Details

·         The Department of Commerce and Financial Studies of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya is well equipped with Infrastructural, ICT and Academic Facilities.

·         The Department has been established in the fourth floor of the main Building. Four Lift Service and four set of stair cases are provided to facilitate the Students. Well Structured Ramp has also been provided. The floor of Department of CFS is having facility of specially abled and blind students.

·         The department has a Faculty lounge with HoD room, Faculties Room, Rest rooms (M/F) and Office rooms. The departmental Library operates here. A kitchen has been also provided for arrangement of refreshments.

·         The Department has 8 no. of Lecture Halls with proper Sitting arrangements and under Camera surveillance and one Computer Lab.

·         There are separate rest rooms for Male/ Female students and also for especially abled students.

·         Sanitary Pad Dispenser is available for the Female Students.

·         Water Cooler is fitted in the Floor to facilitate cold drinking water.

  • The Department of Commerce and Financial Studies has One Computer Lab with 40 Latest Desktops and Internet Connection.
  • Desktop and Printers are also provided in the Faculty rooms with Wi-Fi connection.
  • The university has provided the Personal Laptops of Latest Version to all regular Faculties.
  • Three Lecture Halls are provided Smart Boards for Audio visual modes of Education.
  • Three OHP Projectors are also used in departments for presentations.

  • Exclusive range of Text books and Reference books are available in Departmental Library for UG and PG student. The Library is also helpful for Project work and Research of Commerce and Management students.

  • In the Third floor of Campus Building, “ Madhav Rao Sapre Physical and Electronic Library” is functional
  • A well-equipped Central Library provides facility of Study in Silence to using of e-library
  • Library has a separate section of e-Library.
  • The Library has implemented the automation system with application of Del Net for subscription journals and other facilities.
  • The facility of Plagiarism Check is also provided in Library.

  • A well-furnished Auditorium of 300 Capacity is located in the fourth floor of the building.
  • The Stage of the Auditorium is beautifully decorated using Bastar Art.
  • The auditorium has arrangements for recording the programs.
  • 3 no. of 80” Television sets are fitted for display of events.
  • High quality sound system is available in Auditorium.
  • A green room and 3 rest rooms are attached to the Auditorium.

  • In the fourth floor of Campus building, “Sahid Vir Narayan Singh Gymnasium” has been facilitated.

  • University also hosts various National level Games such as East Zoe Hockey Men and Women ,2021, All India Circle Kabaddi Men 2022, All India Karate Men and Women 2023. Such Events provide the Students great motivation and platform to participate in Sports Championships.
    • 19Scholarship
  • Government Scholarship for ST/SC and OBC students. Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, being a State University, follows the complete rule of reservation for admission in various courses and further the ST/SC/OBC Cell completes the total procedure of documentation to avail the State Government Scholarship for all ST/SC and OBC Student.
  • Poor and Needy Boy Fund: This scholarship is provided by the University to the eligible General Category (UR) Student.
    • 20National Service Scheme (NSS)
  • Atal Bihari Vajpayee Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, University Teaching Department has functional Boys and Girls Units of NSS.
  • Both the Units of NSS regularly conducts various Extension activities and Awareness Programs.
  • Special Camps are organized in the adopted Villages and the NSS volunteers are also selected for State camps and National Camps.
  • NSS Volunteers are provided with B and C Certificates with complete rules and regulations.
